The notification settings section allows you to configure how and when you receive alerts when Notifier finds matches for your searcher. You can choose both the frequency and the type of notifications that work best for your workflow.
Notifier offers two frequency options for receiving notifications:
Instant Notifications are the default setting and what most customers choose. With this option, you'll receive notifications immediately when matches are found.
Daily Summary sends you a consolidated email once per day with all the matches found in the past 24 hours. This option only supports email notifications, as this is the most practical delivery method for summary reports.
When you select instant notifications, you have four different notification types to choose from:
Email is the most common notification type and offers several customization options:
You can choose to receive emails in a bare-bones plain text format if you prefer simpler formatting. There's also an option to show all content from matches or limit the content to a certain number of characters, which is useful if you want to keep emails concise.
Additionally, you can add an alternate email address to send alerts to, giving you flexibility in how notifications are distributed within your team or organization.
Webhooks are designed for developers and automation enthusiasts. When a match occurs, Notifier sends an HTTP request to an endpoint you define, along with a JSON payload containing the match data.
This integration is perfect for connecting Notifier to automation platforms like Zapier, Make.com, or n8n. You can use webhooks to trigger custom workflows, update databases, or integrate with other business systems when matches are found.
The Slack integration allows you to send notifications directly to a Slack channel. To set this up, you'll need to connect your Slack account and specify which channel should receive the alerts.
Once configured, match notifications will appear in your designated Slack channel, making it easy for teams to collaborate on leads and opportunities as they're discovered.
The dashboard only option means you won't receive any external notifications. Instead, all matches will simply appear in your Notifier dashboard where you can review them at your convenience.
This setting is ideal if you prefer to check results manually or if you want to reduce the volume of notifications you receive while still capturing all the data.
If you need additional notification types or integrations with other platforms, contact our support team. We're continuously expanding our integration capabilities based on user feedback and can often accommodate specific workflow requirements.
The notification system has been recently re-engineered and rebuilt, so if you encounter any issues while configuring your settings, please reach out so we can address any minor issues that may arise.
Once you've configured your notification settings along with your platform monitoring and filtering criteria, your searcher will be fully operational and ready to start finding relevant matches based on your specifications.
