The Connect Accounts page is where you integrate your social media and communication platforms with Notifier. These connections allow Notifier to pull data from your accounts and send notifications through your preferred channels.
Currently, Twitter integration requires you to input an API key, which allows Notifier to make calls to Twitter on your behalf. However, this functionality is being extensively reworked.
In the near future, the process will be simplified so you can simply connect your Twitter account directly without needing to manage API keys. The interface may look different from what's shown in this tutorial by the time you're setting up your account. Updated instructions will be provided in the user interface, and new tutorial videos will be recorded once the revamped functionality is live.
Connecting your Instagram account involves a multi-step authorization process through Meta's platform.
Before connecting Instagram, you'll need:
This setup can be complex due to the relationship requirements between Facebook pages and Instagram business accounts. If you encounter difficulties during this process, contact our support team for assistance in getting your accounts properly configured.
Connecting Slack to Notifier enables you to receive notifications directly in your Slack channels.
The Slack connection process is straightforward:
After connecting your Slack team, you'll need to define a specific channel for receiving notifications. In the example shown, there's a channel called "Test Alerts" that's been configured to receive Notifier alerts.
If you need to remove any connected accounts, simply click the "Disconnect" button next to the relevant service. This will revoke Notifier's access to that platform.
The Connect Accounts page clearly shows which accounts are currently connected and which are available for connection, making it easy to manage your integrations at a glance.
If you experience issues with any account connections, particularly with the Instagram setup process or Slack authorization, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team. These integrations can sometimes be complex due to the requirements of third-party platforms, and we're here to help ensure everything is configured correctly.
The functionality for connecting accounts is continuously being improved based on user feedback and platform updates from the social media services we integrate with.
