The Excludes section allows you to filter out unwanted results from specific users or sources on your monitored platforms. This is a simple but useful feature for removing noise from your search results.
The primary use case for excludes is removing results from certain usernames on platforms like Reddit. This is particularly helpful for filtering out your own posts and comments from the results, since you probably don't need notifications about your own activity.
To set up an exclusion:
For instance, if your Reddit username is "TBramlett" and you don't want to receive notifications about your own posts and comments, you would:
From that point forward, any results that come from the TBramlett user account on Reddit will be automatically filtered out of your notifications.
Once you've added exclusions, they'll appear in the list below the input fields. You can add multiple exclusions for different platforms and usernames as needed to fine-tune your results.
While username exclusions are the most common use case, the Excludes section can be adapted for other filtering needs. If you have specific requirements that aren't currently supported, contact our support team to discuss potential enhancements to this feature.
This simple but effective tool helps ensure that your notifications contain only the most relevant and actionable content for your monitoring goals.
